Its is scientifically known as Mondia Whitei. The plant which is primarily found in Western Kenya has a variety of uses least of them being a libido boost. It treats a wide variety of illnesses, prevents indigestion and helps in increasing appetite. Reduces stress and  can trat anorexia and bilharzia . The Mondia Whitei can treat erectile dysfunctions and contains wide range of vitamins (A, D, K and E), minerals (magnesium, iron, zinc and calcium) and proteins too.

Mushrooms have been a part of the human diet for many, many years and enjoyed in diverse types of dishes. Mushrooms are a severely underrated vegetable but are packed with nutritional value. They’re low in calories, are great sources of fiber and protein. They also provide many important nutrients, including B vitamins, selenium, potassium, copper, and (particularly when exposed to the sun) vitamin D.

Chiswa(Kumbe Kumbe)

They are blackish in colour and the smallest in size. These ones are mostly seen during the rainy season from about 2pm to 4pm in the months of September to December.  They are eaten raw, fried, stewed.

Busaa made from maize meal fermented, finger millet and water.It is left for around two weeks to ferment after maize meal is mixed with finger millet and water.  Its is common events like circumcision, marriage, dowry payment,funerals.

It is also a source of calcium, strengthens bones,  helps in digestion,  relieves stress, temporarily, reduces fats in your body, help in improving blood circulation and thus helps in preventing high blood pressure.

The vegetables are not only healthy, but they are also highly beneficial to the skin and hair. They are loaded with a lot of nutrients which include: Dietary fiber,protein, calcium, potassium, iron, folate, Niacin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, vitamin B1 (Thiamine), vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) and Beta carotene
