Kenyans in diaspora have complained that pastor Stanley Mwea is extorting money from them after he announced plans to hold the third pre-wedding and has formed an organizing committee.
He is now set to have the third pre-wedding with his current fiancé, Serah Ndirangu, who is also a pastor, in Washington on Saturday, November 10. What shocked many Kenyans living abroad is the succession with which the pre-weddings had been held and the fact that they had been talked into making contributions towards the same.
The pastor identified as Stanley Mwea is said to have had two pre-weddings in different states with his previous fiancé, Susan Kangethe, whom he broke-up with just before their wedding.
The pastor living in the United States has become the centre of on line debate after Kenyans in the diaspora accused him of scamming them by holding three pre-weddings in succession.
The pastor’s fiancee, however, defended their scheduled pre-wedding and a wedding thereafter in December 2018 while cautioning people to stop casting aspersions. She said the event will take off despite the criticisms from Kenyans whom she claimed were just detractors.
“Why do people like poking their noses in other people’s affairs?,” she posed “We really do not care what they are saying this is our life and nobody is being forced to contribute a penny, our pre- wedding will take place on November 10, 2018 come rain or sunshine, “ the bride to be added
The first pre-weddings with the intentions of marrying Kangethe were held at Maryland and Massacheuts states while the fund raisers to sponsor them were held in Baltimore and Boston respectively Kenyans are now crying foul claiming the pastor is on a mission to fleece them their hard earned money in the pretense of having pre-weddings.
While plenty of are scrutinized for moving on quickly pastor stanley demonstrates he is not afraid of heartbreaks and new love. Witnesses are yet to determine if the relationship will last longer after the pre-wedding or break just like the others as it is claimed he is using the pre-weddings for money.
