Go for night parties, Prayers at your own risk in Embu

Embu bans night prayers, disco ahead of KCPE, KCSE exams
The government of Kenya under the ministry of Education is in the process of making final preparations to ensure a success of the National Examinations that are set to begin as from October 30, 2018.
In a bid to ensure convenience and a good environment for the candidates in the KCPE and KCSE exams, the provincial administration in Embu North has announced a ban on night prayers and night discos.
According to the Manyatta Assistant County Commissioner Benjamin Berich, the ban will eliminate noise in the area said to be a distraction to students trying to study for the exams.
The administrator noted that security measures are also in place to avert any irregularities that include exam cheating.
The ban comes just two weeks after the Education Ministry directed that all annual leave applications from exam officers be cancelled until the end of the said period.

Class 8 candidates are set to sit for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations from October 30 to November 1.

Rehearsals for those in Form 4 are expected to start on November 2 with the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations set to kick off on November 5.

The national examinations council recently announced that preparations for both exams are complete and warned against cheating.
