Another Major Arrest Made in Connection to Monica’s Murder

Detectives have arrested a man suspected to have been part of the gruesome murder of Monica Kimani. The man who is believed to be a former Recce Squad member has been identified as Jennings Okoth Orlando.

Details of his arrest are however still scanty.

Top investigators in the murder of Ms Monica Kimani had for sometime shifted operations to the Coast in search of what they termed “crucial materials and information”.

In Mombasa, the detectives went to arrest a suspect, recover the keys to Ms Kimani’s Lamuria Gardens flat, the keys to her car, and any other items or valuables which may have been taken from the deceased’s home by her killers.

It was also alleged that one of the suspects was apparently in the Coast region seeking to get cleansing from a witchdoctor to avoid falling into the police trap.

TV Journalist Jacque Maribe and her fiance Joseph Irungu are still in police custody in connection with the murder.

The high court cleared Joseph Irungu to provide a supplementary affidavit in his defence, ahead of his bail hearing on the 24th of this month. Irungu and tv journalist Jacque Maribe are fighting to be released on bail.
