The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) had issued summons to 10 of its members among them Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori to appear before the party’s disciplinary committee.

The party wanted the leaders to respond to accusations made against them in accordance with the party rules and procedure.

The other leaders summoned include; Nakuru Minority Leader Peter Palang’o, Nyamira County Majority Leader Masira Duke Oyugi, Nyamira MCAs; George Morara Abuga, Damaris Nyarangi Muoni, Mose Abel Mokaya, Mogere Carolyne Gesare ,Mwamba Monicaa and Busia MCA Immaculate Joyce Adhiambo.

These summons follow a series of backlash on the Malindi legislator for her purported support of Deputy President William Ruto in his presidential bid come 2022.
