Manchester United star Lukaku keen to beat Thierry Henry’s record

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he is hunting down Thierry Henry’s 175 English Premier League goal record after beating Didier Drogba’s 100 league goals record.

Romelu Lukaku earlier on in the year got to the 100 Premier League goal mark in the game against Swansea City back in March hence equaling Didier Drogba’s goal scoring record. Lukaku has recently endured a goal drought going six games without a goal for his club with the last goal coming in the 2-1 win over Watford.

The burly striker in an interview with Manchester United’s official website revealed that he is chasing Henry’s record, “When that happened he sent me four cups [for his four Premier League titles] on Snapchat! We speak every day and it’s really nice because he’s been part of the process. Now I’m talking to Thierry Henry saying ‘I’m coming for you’ on 175! I’m laughing saying it to him but, deep down, inside he knows I’m dead serious!”
