I guess it is only in October when we have back to back public holiday but since we have all finished nursing hangovers from the Moi Day celebrations lets gear and psych up for Mashujaa day.

What Mashujaa Day is all about

On 20 of October,  Kenyans celebrate  Mashujaa day  as per the Kenyan Constitution that recognises Heroical struggle for Freedom & Justice to our land & those who have made immense contribution towards the unity of our Nation.

The Government recognizes Heroes & Heroines through Monuments, Statues, Supporting family members, Re-writing History on Struggle for Independence & Recognising Kenyans on Mashujaa Day among others.

This will be the 9th time Kenyans celebrate this public holiday.

Mashujaa day is dedicated to past, present and future Heroes /Heroines as captured in Chapter 2, article 9(3)6 under the section on National Symbols & National Days.

Here is how you can celebrate your Mashujaa Day

Kenyans are also planning to honor  defence forces, sportsmen and women.

” WE demonstrate the pride with which WE Kenyans accord our National Heroes & Heroines especially Kenya Defense Forces, Our Sports Men & Women.”

It is a day that Kenyans express their pride of their Ethnic, Cultural and Religious diversity. It also serves as a reminder to embrace friendship for National prosperity.

With all these events and more.. I have a feeling this has got you sorted
