It has now emerged that the lead investigator in the Monica Kimani murder, Maxwell Otieno of planted a ‘spy’ inside Maribe’s cell at the Gigiri Police Station.
According to an affidavit seen by Royal Media’s Citizen Digital, Jacque Maribe explained how a man named Kennedy Kenneth Omondi was brought into her cell. Miss Maribe said that he was the only male occupant in the cell and was allowed to mingle freely despite the strict gender rule that prohibited the mingling of male and female detainees.
The affidavit read, “I suspect K.K. Omondi was planted by C.Insp.M. Otieno…to investigate and extract information. He probably thought I had something I was holding back whilst in fact I had disclosed everything.”
