A fire has broken out this afternoon at the Kenya Pipeline Company depot at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

According to the Kenya Airports Authority, General Manager Security Services, George Kabugi, the fire is being contained by the disaster management unit and no flight interruptions have been reported so far.
Although there has been no official communication as to what caused the fire, it is believed to have started at the jet fuel tanks.
