Most Kenyans have taken on social media platforms to voice their opinions on how the judiciary system is handling matters to do with graft slowly.
its clear that the judiciary is going to bed with cartels.we are being treated with yet another lot of incompetent DCI relying on rumours& hearsays, ending up planting evidence bt all this is a waste of resources & time.the end product= no sufficient evidence #CourtsSlowOnGraft

The courts in Kenya have always taken quite a long period of time to rule out on issues of graft that to some extent the perpetrators manage to walk escort free.
The audit found more poor people were arrested, charged and sent to prison as compared to the rich. They only charge the poor #CourtsSlowOnGraft

At first the judiciary system complained of not having enough funds to enable in depth investigations on matters dealing with graft. The national Treasury increased the number of cash being delivered to the judiciary to enable easy running of cases and serving of justice.
The Chief Justice Maraga was the hope for Kenyans when he was chosen to replace Willy Mutunga who resigned. Most Kenyans were certain that he will push forward and hasten the process of justice in the country and sweep away corruption.
Since graft is still rife in the Judiciary, it means high profile graft cases involving misappropriation of funds do not get resolved and the cases are either adjourned for months or dismissed on the
pretext that they lack enough evidence to prosecute.#CourtsSlowOnGraft pic.twitter.com/aYlUfB6KVo— Hustling RAPPORTEUR (@_Rapportuer) October 12, 2018
But this has turned out to be directly opposite. Most corruption cases have been reported recently om matters of Graft but the process has just continued to lag behind in bringing the perpetrators into facing the law.
Starting from the National Youth Scandal , which a lot of money was squandered , the perpetrators are still walking freely and enjoying the money they got away with. The process of justice has taken almost two years and an amicable solution has yet been found.

That is not the only case , most counties had many cases of graft especially in the first phase of devolution. Most county officials had many cases of corruption which the files are just stacked in the courts.
Most government officials are involved in most graft cases which it has raised many eyebrows on the independence of the court system in Kenya. The Deputy Chief Justice , Philomena Mwilu is faced with a graft case of evasion of taxes. This has also spurred public reactions whether the course of justice will follow suit or she will get away with it.This is ironical as she is the one who should be on the forefront in the fight against graft in the country.

Although President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed his concerns and promised Kenyans that justice will be served and that his administration wont condone corruption , nothing has really changed. The system have become even more slower than before.
Question have been asked if the judiciary is in bed with the top government officials or they are receiving brown envelopes to kill certain cases.
If we really need to end corruption in this country, then let everyone effort be put in place..

Most cases have been thrown in the dustbin involving the top government officials . The issue is not just starting right now but it started long ago when the suspects involved in the Golden Bag scandal walked free and some are still enjoying its fruits up to now. Anglo-Leasing the same. No single perpetrator has faced the law .

Justice delayed is Justice denied. The snail pace in delivery of Justice is not helping move this country forward pic.twitter.com/NQIcFZ3G41— Joe Muhahami (@Muhahami) October 12, 2018
Most Kenyans feel like the court is playing the same game as the government officials who are involved in most graft cases. At even extreme ends where the office of the public prosecution presented enough evidence the people involved manage to skip the long arm of the law.
“It is only when justice reaches the weak and the rule of law protects the indigent, that we, as a country, can say that our Constitution is living up to its juridical and developmental promise of equality and equity,” said Mr Maraga. #CourtsSlowOnGraft

The Kenyans are tired and their reactions speak a lot on the judiciary system. An intervention must be done to rescue its fate and for once Kenyans re-gain their trust in the institution.
Is Judiciary playing PR by hurrying along emotional Sponyo related cases while Kenyans are angry and distraught about paying taxes to finance corruption at the National and County levels?#CourtsSlowOnGraft
