Psychiatric test, Remand! More hard times for Maribe

Tv girl Jacque Maribe will have to face more pain after Court’s ruling on Tuesday morning.

Appearing before Justice Jessie Lessit in Milimani Law Courts dock alongside her fiance Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, Maribe faced a blow after Justice Lessit ordered for her to undergo mental tests before being remanded at Lang’ata women’s prison until Monday.

The court also directed for Jowie’s treatment following the wound bullet which he allegedly say was shot by unknown people in attack he witnessed the fateful night Monica Kimani was murdered.

The couple is facing murder charges over Monica’s death.

Their presentation at the Court followed directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Nordin Haji who directed the high court to charge the couple with murder immediately on Tuesday morning.

Haji said he has sanctioned murder charges against the duo after reviewing the evidence gathered by detectives so far.

“I am satisfied that there exists a prima facie case to warrant criminal prosecution,” Mr Haji stated.

“I have therefore directed that they be immediately arraigned before the High Court and charged accordingly.”

By excluding Mr Brian Kassaine, the other suspect in police custody over Ms Kimani’s September 19 murder at Lamuria Gardens, it means he will be a State witness in the case against the couple.
