Kenyans on twitter have reacted to a drafted message by the Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President; Dennis Itumbi. A note that was directed to Maribe following her arraignment in court over the murder of Monica Kimani. Maribe was arrested days after the arrest of his fiancee Joseph Irungu who was taken to police custody as the first suspect in the murder.
“Jacqueline Maribe, you remain in my prayers. May Justice, like many waters be done. May Monica & her family find the answers they deserve & those responsible be punished as per by law established. But may you find Justice, that you equally deserve. You got my hand of friendship” reads Itumbi’s tweet
A section of Kenyans have cheered him for boldly supporting Maribe and indicating that she is in his prayers. This comes weeks after Maribe’s friends had generally been faulted for abandoning her after her arrest.

This message could have made more sense to her if you could have told her personally. May justice prevail.
