Miguna Miguna: Moi is not a hero

The announcement of Wednesday 10th October as a public holiday did not settle well with some Kenyan and even though Miguna Miguna was deported, he still weighs in on matters involving the nation. His statements appreciated by a few and the rest remains to be endless trolls and hilarious comments from Kenyans.

Miguna Miguna has joined the heated debate that questions the relevance of the Moi Day which is set to be on Wednesday 10th October. He mentioned that what Kenyans need is  justice and not a public holiday.

“Daniel Arap Moi is NOT a hero. He is one of the worst PLUNDERERS (that’s a person who does more than loot) in the world. He murdered, tortured and exiled thousands of Kenyan students, writers and intellectuals. Kenyans need JUSTICE; not holidays!

The despots can declare  – or whatever day they fancy. But Kenyans are not stupid and will not be distracted to such silly PR stunts. The tyrant  must go with all his HandChequers, looters and murderers!~” reads Miguna Miguna’ tweets.

Kenyans have however criticized his opinion saying that if he thinks that Moi is no Hero to him then it does not mean that it applies to everyone. A section of Kenyans also stated that he is idle and he always speaks negativity and drags names of leaders to blame them for no valid reason. Kenyans claim that Miguna Miguna is speaking from  a point of bitterness and directing his anger where it is not welcomed. In his tweet, he mentions President Kenyatta and according to tweeps that was not a necessary move since it was a decision by the High court.
