On Thursday 27th September 2018 police at Kilimani police station dusted Jacque Maribe’s car as investigations into the killing of Monica Kimani intensified.
Maribe’s fiancé Joseph Irungu aka Jowie was arrested on Tuesday in relation to the murder and on Wednesday, homicide officers said they wanted a statement from the journalist.
The deceased’s body was found in her bathtub on September, 20, 2018 and according to police, the car Irungu was driving when he visited Kimani is registered in Maribe’s name.
Irungu was also driving the same car at about 1.30am on September 21, when he claimed to have been shot and wounded in the chest by a gunman who allegedly escaped on a motorbike outside their house.
