Makueni County Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has broken his silence after being rushed to hospital following an incident in Nandi County.
Kilonzo moved swiftly to allay any fears over his health by assuring Kenyans he was well.
He also dispelled reports that he had collapsed before being rushed to hospital.
“I am well. I did not collapse,” the Senator tweeted moments after being taken to hospital.
After one of his followers asked what had happened, he replied that he had choked.
Reports indicate that the Makueni Senator was taken to hospital after he choked on a piece of meat at a Nandi hotel.
The Senator and his colleagues are said to have been on a lunch break at Eden Springs Hotel after the end a session at the Nandi County Assembly, the Daily Nation reported.
He was later was taken to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital where he was given emergency care and later transferred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.
