Kerr: Gor has a chance to make things right

Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr says they have a great chance to make things right on matters performance.

The 2018 Sportpesa Premier League champions will be facing Vihiga United today and the Briton believes the fixture can mark an end to the string of poor results they have registered in the past three matches.

“Today’s game should be a continence of our season… but past events have worked against us. We now have a chance to make things right,” Kerr told the official Gor Mahia website.

Kerr hopes that the missed training sessions will not affect his team’s performance.

“We have to be realistic on how my players have been. We missed some training sessions and that’s a factor we hope won’t work against us,” he added.

Gor Mahia have met Vihiga only once before, in the first leg league clash and K’Ogalo won 1-0.

K’Ogalo, currently on a two-match losing streak in the league will be seeking to avoid a third consecutive league loss for the first time since July 2009.

If selected, Jacques Tuyisenge will be seeking to equal Meddie Kagere’s 37 league goals for the club.

On individuals records, Tuyisenge will be seeking to better his tally of 13 league goals last season – with a keen eye on bagging the golden boot this season.

Philemon Otieno and Boniface Oluoch are still out recovering from injuries but Kerr has a deep squad from which to make his selection today.
