Manchester United keeper De Gea blasts critics after FIFA awards

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea looked to have hit back at his critics after being named in the FIFPro World XI at the FIFA Best awards ceremony in London on Monday night.

The Spaniard was named as the goalkeeper in the FIFPro World XI with Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Marcelo, N’Golo Kante, Luka Modric, Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappe, Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo completing the team. De Gea had a torrid 2018 World Cup that saw them crush at the Round of 16 hurdle to hosts Russia.

The former Atletico Madrid keeper revealed that he isn’t bothered by what critics say, “Normally I never listen to the people who speak about me. I’m focused on my job and trying to help my team, trying to improve every session and trying to be as good as I can. I never listen to stupid things they say.”
