Kenyans on twitter have reacted on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s message made from New York on Monday through his twitter account.
The president who silently left the country after signing the 2018 Finance bill on Friday said that the country’s tourism industry is expected to grow after he made a deal with the US to start making direct 15 hour flights from New York to JKIA.
Our national carrier will soon traverse the skies on a daily 15 hour direct flight from Nairobi to New York City and from New York City to Nairobi. These flights will be a major boost to tourism and trade between Kenya and the US | @KenyaAirways https://t.co/3fB6oDh6gc pic.twitter.com/ybWoOVu2zm

Kenyans on Twitter argue that the revenue the country will generate through tourism as a result of the direct flights will just be looted by people in the ministry of tourism.
They argue that the direct lights is just a way of opening more rooms for government looting.
No..these flights will be a major boost for generating more money for looting by people in tourism sector and eventually higher taxes on ordinary mwananchi to recover the stolen money…in this country we are getting poorer and poorer day by day

What’s the point of the country taxes and incomes benefiting only a few people. It’s very frustrating to see that only a few individuals who are Politically connected are milking this country dry using Politics and influence. Its horrible.
