The suspicion behind Pumwani Hospital Saga

As the story unfolds, many questions arise. First, the discovery of 12  infant bodies by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko. This happened earlier last week when Nairobi Governor  raided Pumwani Hospital and made a shocking discovery of 12 dead infants hidden in boxes and nylon bags.

His  impromptu visit at the hospital in Nairobi has raised alot of concerns ever since.  First the disbanding of the board, and the suspension of the health bosses.

Then a revelation by a Kenyan gynecologist Nelly Bosire who offers women Health Education through  social media  explained what might have transpired to the infant bodies found. She also went ahead to reveal the state of the hospital facilities which was wanting.

The DPP instructed the Director of Criminal Investigations to urgently commence a probe into the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

Several days later the hospital is named after governor Mike Sonko, which does not seem to sit well with some Kenyans. Ahead of that Sonko announces a patnership with Aga Khan and Nairobi hospitals.

”After having a long day meeting today with the Aga Khan University hospital top team on a temporary solution to address the Pumwani Maternity Hospital crisis. Whereby it was resolved that AGA KHAN will provide additional Doctors, nurses and hospitals support staff for a period of 2 years at no cost.” reads part of the text shared on his facebook page

He went ahead to explain that the meeting led to them getting a permanent solution to the  said crisis. However KOT are not convinced by how fast this story unraveled.

With all these questions and concerns you might agree that the Pumwani Hospital Saga is a mystery that remains unsolved.
