Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has predicted that Juventus will get to the Champions League final and will play against either Manchester City or Barcelona.
Berbatov who himself got the finals of the competition twice in 2009 and 2011 with Manchester United but failed to win any losing out Barcelona on the two occasions. Barcelona have rough seas to sail before making out of the group phases of the competition as they are in the Group B together with Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, and Dutch Champions PSV Eindhoven.
Berbatov revealed his predictions for the teams that will make it into the Champions League final, “I think Juventus will reach the final and I see Manchester City or Barcelona joining them there. The way that City play and the players they have mean that they of course have to be amongst the favourites and I’m certain they will do better than last year’s effort of being knocked out in the quarter-finals by Liverpool.”
The former AS Monaco striker, however, chose not predict the winners of the competition, “Who will actually win it? Without watching the early rounds how can you possibly say? It’s so close between those top teams at the moment that without watching any games it’s impossible to say.”
