Intermilan Captain buzzing about comeback to European glory

 

It was a Champions League debut for Intermilan’s Captain Mauro Icardi.

Inter captain Mauro Icardi talked o the media  after Inter’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in their Group B  Champions League  in which he scored a stunning opening goal, at the San Siro.

The Inter skippers explained how the goal happened.  He said  it was a ball from behind,  then Asamoah saw him and put in a fantastic ball and it all ended at the back of the Spurs Net.

The Argentina International also said,  it was a spectacular night and it was what they had to do.  He  added that they have a strong team, and they can play against anyone.

He went on and said that they had been waiting for that match for three months, and starting like that gives them a lot of confidence and an added incentive to do better in the SerieA league, and that a game like that in the Champions League gives them the right atmosphere to continue working.

The  Nerazzurri  Skipper concluded  by speaking on Matias Vecino who has once again headed Inter toward a win in an important match, scoring the last minute winner for the Italian giants.

“Vecino has been there twice and two victories have arrived but it doesn’t matter who scores as the most important thing is that Inter wins.”
