News that the body of Maribel Kapolon, a nine year old girl who went missing 11 days ago was discovered in a thicket in Gitoro forest, Meru County, has not gone down well with most Kenyans.
Maribel, the daughter of Githongo Law Courts Senior Resident Magistrate Carol Kemei, is said to have been kidnapped by unknown people.
The pupil, who schooled at Consolata Primary School on Total Road, was walking home when she was abducted.
Her death comes at a time when the country has not come to terms with the murder of Rongo University Student Sharon Otieno. Sharon’s mutilated body was found in a thicket in Kodera forest, Homa Bay County.
Kenyans have asked the government to find the perpetrators of these heinous acts before they escalate.
Whoever took the life of such an innocent soul will forever live with guilt?.. this inhumane activities have been crippling in our societies and its time we stay woke and shun them. Rest in Peace Maribel Kapolon pic.twitter.com/9tjIx6ydG5

People out here walking around without hearts.
May the young soul of Maribel Kapolon Rest in eternal peace.
Where we stand as a country I don’t even know if justice will be served for her.
My heart is bleeding.

The current rise in murder incidences occuring in Kenya is just scandalous;from Sharon Otieno and now MARIBEL KAPOLON a young soul whose body was found dead in Gitoro Forest. These vices need to stop, should be lambasted in the strongest words possible.
