The demolition of Airgate Centre formerly Taj Mall that started on Saturday is being conducted by the National Youth Service.

The multi billion building is said to have been built on a road reserve, the claims that the owner Ramesh Gorasia denied citing that the building was dully approved by the relevant authorities before it was put up.

Pipeline residents now claim that they risk flu as the police continue to lob teargas in their environments in the efforts to prevent looters from accessing the mall.

Ramesh on Saturday called upon the government to investigate the officers who took part in the approvals of the Building.

President Uhuru Kenyatta cited that all the officers who took part in making approvals to illegal buildings will be investigated and prosecuted.
