A letter that has been surfacing the internet purporting that the Chief Justice had written to his Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu has been identified as a fake.
Taking to his Twitter account the Chief Maraga posted saying,”This letter circulating on social media purporting to be authored by me is FAKE, please ignore.”

The letter was said to have been written to the DCJ following her recent and ongoing corruption case. Philomena Mwilu was arrested by DPP Haji over suspicious movement of large sums of money in and out of bank accounts.
According to sources, investigations on the judge have mainly revolved around transactions involving the collapsed Imperial Bank, and failure to pay taxes.
