It is no surprise that the Reds are sitting merrily on the top of the 2018/19 Premier League table. They were one of the most exciting teams to watch last season and finished runners-up to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp has transformed Liverpool into one of the best sides in European football. They have made some exciting signings this summer with the likes of Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Fabinho.

The Reds are the biggest spending club in Premier League this summer with a total of around £177 million in player transfers. With some world-class players in their squad, the Reds are one of the heavy spenders on player wages and salaries.

Alisson Becker, £120,000 per week

He held the record as the most expensive goalkeeper in the world until it was broken by Kepa Arrizabalaga. Alisson Becker was superb for AS Roma last season and played a huge role in their run to the UEFA Champions League semifinals. He was arguably the best goalkeeper in Serie A and replaced Loris Karius as Liverpool’s no.1.

Liverpool paid a huge £53 million to sign him from RB Leipzig this summer. He was one of the best midfielders in German football for quite some time with 17 goals in 71 appearances for his former team. A typical box-to-box midfielder, Keita is regarded a lot for his vision, passing, and ability.

Daniel Sturridge, £120,000 per week

Daniel Sturridge had a bright start to his Liverpool career but faded away completely. He has scored only 17 Premier League goals in his last four seasons and made only 55 appearances. The 29-year-old forward has featured in three of four Liverpool games this season, mainly as a substitute.

Virgil van Dijk, £150,000 per week

Virgil Van Dijk is the most expensive defender in world football right now and he cost Liverpool £75 million. The 27-year-old Dutch international was exceptional for the Reds last season. He improved Liverpool’s defence and was rock solid at the back. Van Dijk currently earns a huge £150,000 per week at Liverpool.

He led the line to perfection and complimented Mo Salah and Sadio Mane. His pace, close control, the ability to create opportunities for his teammates are some of his greatest attributes.

Mohamed Salah, £200,000 per week

Premier League’s best signing of the 2017 summer is Liverpool’s highest earner at the moment. Salah was sensational for the Reds last season with 44 goals in 52 appearances. He led them to the finals of the UEFA Champions League and a third-place finish in the Premier League. A technically strong player, the Egyptian is known for his speed, precise finishing, and first touch.
