Sharon Otieno, the pregnant university student abducted with Nation Journalist Barrack Oduor on Monday in Migori, has been found dead.
The second year student, who was pursuing a degree in Medical Records and Information at Rongo University, has been missing since Monday evening. Sharon and Mr Oduor were kidnapped moments after being lured out of Graca Hotel in Rongo around 7.35pm by Governor Okoth Obado’s Personal Assistant Michael Oyamo.
Mr Oyamo was arrested in Uriri on Tuesday and taken to Homa Bay for questioning over the incident that left Mr Oduor seriously injured.
Following this events, Kenyans were angrily calling for more investigations into the matter.
Seems there was more going on before..
Nation journalist Barrack Oduor was investigating a story of a love gone sour between the governor and Sharon Otieno. He had to jump off a moving car to free himself from the abductors. #JusticeForSharonOtieno pic.twitter.com/EqifjsvGbP

The murder of Sharon Otieno is as grotesque as worst can be. Mr. Oyamo who handed them over to killer gang needs to be handed a death sentence in equal measure. Barrack Oduor shld record a quick video on why they were abducted & who wanted them dead, & he must secured. pic.twitter.com/6wUDrkrvFm

Protection clearly needed.
This is just outrageous. What have we become as a people? Barrack Oduor must immediately be put in witness protection. Those behind this one cannot and must not escape justice. https://t.co/Ck340QfqGk

Calls for Migori Governor to be be arrested..
This fossil by the name of governor Okoth must be arrested or killed all the same. How can you impregnate a student Sharon Otieno and send your own aide to kill her and Barrack Oduor ??? pic.twitter.com/MqkPGBvBkO

We hope not too..
I hope @ODPP_KE @dailynation Will protect Barrack Oduor before we hear a suspect has committed "Suicide". RIP Sharon Otieno.
We created a Council of Killers to Govern our Counties. It's the land of impunity.— #BuyerBeware (@JacksonNjeru254) September 5, 2018
The case brought about some horrible Kenyan memories..
Now that the Sharon Otieno murder case is building up, Nation journalist Barrack Oduor should be given enough security while undergoing treatment. You remember that man who was shot more 2o times in a Hospital?

Interesting theory..
I think the lady got killed before "Barrack Oduor" talked, the hitmen never thought of the aftermath of killing one person after the the other had escaped. However gross our mistakes are, no one deserves that kind of death. May she RIP
