Former Liverpool playmaker, Philippe Coutinho joined Barcelona during the winter transfer window and quickly established himself at the Nou Camp, bagging a fantastic 10 goals and 6 assists in 22 appearances – and he still has a lot more to offer this season.
Philippe Coutinho is a specialist at orchestrating team play, keeping possession, distributing key passes and creating clear-cut chances almost from nothing. A great goalscorer too, his ability to send the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the box is quite unparalleled.
The Brazilian has already started the campaign on a brilliant note, scoring a spectacular goal as Barcelona defeated Deportivo Alaves 3-0 in their opening La Liga fixture recently. Without doubts, the midfielder will definitely shine in the Catalan capital this season.
1 Lionel Messi
Once again, Barcelona’s hopes of achieving success during the campaign will rely on their talismanic forward, Lionel Messi. In fact, there is no doubt the attacker will be their brightest player this season.
Following a rather catastrophic FIFA World Cup campaign with his nation in Russia, the Argentine has come back to do what he does best and he is proving that the blue and red stripes of Barcelona remain his most comfortable jersey.
