Daddy Owen welcomed his first born baby boy on July 9, 2018, however the baby was delivered before the due date.
The celebrated gospel Musician has now come out narrating the ordeal his wife had to go through for her to deliver earlier than expected.
According to Owen, they visited their doctor while his wife was in so much pain who advised that they do a scan to check the baby’s condition.
Upon going through the scan, it was discovered that the cord was around the baby’s neck and therefore it was recommended that the wife goes to the theatre for an early delivery.
While giving his account he said, “It was a scary moment.. My wife was feeling lots of pain but it was too early from the delivery date.. So we went to see the doc.. He advised us we go do a scan.. During the scan the sonographer told us the cord is around the baby’s neck.. When we took the report to doc he told us immediately we going to theatre! Was scared dint know what to do and what to expect!”
However, Owen added that the motive of sharing the struggles they went through is to raise awareness about the many cases of babies with cords around their neck.
“The main reason I am sharing this story is because the doc told me nowadays the cases of baby’s with cords on thr neck are too many and they don’t know the reason.. is it lifestyle.. Environment.. no one knows exactly.. many have lost their babies! I thank God that my son came out well and my wife is strong and healthy.. Glory be to JESUS!!! Thank you” added Daddy Owen.

Owen started singing way back when he was still in high school but was not particularly able to hit the limelight because he lacked money to record his songs as he was from a humble background. He however credits his breakthrough to great support both financial, spiritual and emotional from his family, particularly his brother Rufftone and the late gospel artist Kaberere who he has constantly called his mentor.
