Sharon Momanyi lands a new TV job

KTN journalist Sharon Momanyi has been promoted days after she received an award of Journalist of the Year Award  at AJEA

The TV beauty is expected to begin her new role as Features Editor at KTN News,she previously, held the position of a special features reporter at the station, since joining in 2013. The TV girl took to her Instagram to share the news posting:

“God qualifies the called! New role begins as Features Editor at KTN News. So thrilled to be on this learning curve with the great storytellers that are my colleagues. Kazi iendelee, ama namna gani? ”

This promotion comes days after she won the Media Council of Kenya’s Annual Journalism Excellence Award (AJEA) – Journalist of the Year, 2018 award, alongside her colleague, investigative reporter, Hussein Mohammed.

Back in 2014, she emerged 1st Runners Up, Young Journalist of The Year. After the exit of top anchors such as Yvonne Okwara and Betty Kyallo, KTN has acquired fresh talent to join the team. Frida Mwaka, Maalika Kazia, Jesse Rogers and Brenda Radido assumed their roles at the station, late last week.

Sharon attended Moi High School Kabarak. After High School from 2007 – 2011, she joined Daystar University to pursue her course in communication- PR, Journalism, PR Management, PR Writing, News Reporting and Writing, Electronic Publishing and Broadcast Writing.

In Daystar University she was active in student politics whereby she was at on time the Daystar University Students Association Vice Chairperson and at another time the Secretary General for Academic Affairs.
