These Star Footballers May Soon Leave Premier League

Premier League clubs participated overwhelmingly in the transfer window this summer, with various outfits reinforcing their respective squads as they aim to reach their goals for the new Premier League campaign.

Anfield giants, Liverpool came out winners of the transfer window after spending over £170 million to acquire world-class superstars including Fabinho, Alisson Beker, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri – while the likes of Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United also made incredible signings to summarise a brilliant summer.

Now that the Premier League transfer window has officially closed, it means that English clubs can no longer recruit new faces. However, players can still leave the English top flight to join clubs abroad since a number of divisions still have their transfer windows wide open across Europe.

With many players still linked with moves away from the Premier League, let us take a look at 3 top superstars who could still depart the division this summer:

1. Anthony Martial

Manchester United superstar, Anthony Martial has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer and a deal could eventually materialize even now when the Premier League transfer window has officially closed.

Martial joined the Red Devils from Monaco in 2015, but after falling out of Jose Mourinho’s favour at Old Trafford, the French International reportedly wants to leave for another club where he would get adequate game time and continue progressing in his career.

Linked with a number of top clubs outside England including the likes of Juventus, Olympique Marseille, and Paris Saint Germain, the 22-year-old could end up departing the English top flight in search of green pastures abroad this summer.

2. Mousa Dembele

The English Premier League might still lose one of its top superstars this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele reportedly considering his future in the English top flight.

The Belgian is a target of several Seria A clubs including the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus, and Napoli. Other reports also suggest that the 31-year-old could end up completing a big-money move to the Chinese Super League this summer, with the Chinese top division emerging as a possible destination.

Whether the midfielder will finally leave the Wembley Stadium this summer remains to be seen. However, anything could still happen before the transfer window will close in other leagues.

3. Paul Pogba

Following the departures of Andres Iniesta and Paulinho Bezerra from the Nou Camp recently, La Liga giants, FC Barcelona are keen to sign a world class midfielder to strengthen their squad this summer.

According to the reports, the Catalans have identified Manchester United superstar, Paul Pogba as their prime target and are reportedly exploring the possibility of luring him to the Catalan capital this summer.

Pogba became the most expensive player in United’s history when he left Italian outfit, Juventus for the Red Devils during the summer of 2016. However, the superstar has had a strained relationship with Jose Mourinho at the club, forcing him to consider leaving Old Trafford this summer.

Having played at a fantastic level while representing his nation during the FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia, it is evident that the Red Devils will be reluctant to let go of the Frenchman. If they eventually decide to sell him, there is no doubt the deal would attract a huge fee.
