Predicting The Playing Defenders And Midfielders of Juventus

Defenders

1. Joao Cancelo

Cancelo is a right back who was brought by Juventus this summer for €40.4 million. He was signed on a five-year contract which means he will be playing here till the age of 29. He started his senior career on 2012 for Benfica B and later on got into Benfica. He was then brought by Valencia on 2015 and now he left them to join Juventus. Cancelo is an apt signing as he is a good defender and also a player who can support through the right wing since he has played in that position too.

2. Leonardo Bonucci

Leonardo Bonucci who plays has a center-back has rejoined Juventus from AC Milan, while striker Gonzalo Higuain has moved the opposite way. Bonucci was sold to AC Milan last season and now he has come back, Bonucci who is 31 and Caldara who is 24 is a swap deal with both transfers worth 35 million euros. Last season he played 35 matches for Milan and was rock solid for them. He would be hoping to do the same this year for his former team. Bonucci has returned to get together with Chiellini, a duo which is indestructible.

3. Giorgio Chiellini

Chiellini is an Italian center-back who has been playing for Juventus since 2005. He is a physically strong, aggressive, and versatile defender. He has more than 350 appearances to his name for Juventus and always has been one of the best for them. Chiellini will be joining with Bonucci once again, which will be a dynamic duo for Juventus and both of them will be leading the defensive line.

4. Alex Sandro

Alex Sandro is a 27-year-old left back who plays for Juventus. He has more than 100 appearances for them. He was sold by Porto and he joined Juventus in 2015, winning the domestic double in his first three seasons. He would be hoping to build a strong defence along with Bonucci and Chiellini. Sandro is a player who has enough pace to tackle the opponents as well as to get through them, he will be supporting them through the left flank.

 

Midfielders

1. Emre Can

Emre Can opted against Liverpool extension and joined Juventus this season as a free agent. Juventus will be paying him 5 million euros each season which adds up to 20 million euros for his four-year contract. Emre Can joined Juventus after a four-year stint with Liverpool in which he had 115 appearances for them. He is a really talented player, he can play both as a central midfielder as well as a defensive one. Juventus might try him as a defensive player who attacks only in the counters.

2. Miralem Pjanic

Pjanic joined Juventus at 2016 and has played 91 matches for them. He previously played for many teams like Metz, Lyon and Roma and has been a good midfielder for all the teams. Pjanic will be controlling the midfield since both the other midfielders have not been playing for Juventus as long as he has and he will be one of the main players for the team. He will be playing the role of an attacking midfielder and his a player who can give in great passes. He would be hoping to lift a few trophies with Juventus this year.

3. Blaise Matuidi

Matuidi recently won the world cup with France and will be hoping to win many more trophies with Juventus this year. He is an experienced contender with more than 550 matches in his senior career. He has previously played for three teams which are Troyes, Saint-Etienne and Paris Saint-Germain. He joined Juventus last season and has already played 46 matches for them which shows his importance. Matuidi is a fierce and stronger tackler who will be playing a role of a holding midfielder. He would have to win the ball and hold possession for them.
