Latest transfer updates on Chelsea, Manchester United

AC Milan have been told that they will need to fork out £62million to sign Alvaro Morata, reports claim.

Chelsea signed the 25-year old striker from Real Madrid for an initial £57million last season, but failed to deliver at Stamford Bridge.

AC Milan and Chelsea have now entered talks with the Italian club’s new sporting director Leonardo leading negotiations.

Despite discussions, the sides are miles apart in their valuation of the Spanish international, prompting Milan to consider Gonzalo Higuain or Radamel Falcao as alternatives.

Maguire

Manchester United have made an official approach for Leicester star Harry Maguire, reports claim.

Jose Mourinho is a known admirer of England’s World Cup hero and wants to bring him to Old Trafford.

Sky Sports claim United are prepared to pay £65million for Maguire, who the Foxes snapped up for £16million from Hull last year.

Leicester have responded by categorically saying he isn’t for sale.

Willian

Willian will join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

That’s according to Spanish website Mundo Deportivo, who claim the Brazil international is destined for a move to Old Trafford.

Willian, 29, has been heavily tipped to leave Stamford Bridge with Manchester United and Barcelona interested in acquiring his services.

The Catalan giants saw three separate offers for Willian rejected, the last of which was believed to be £55million, before signing Bordeaux star Malcom.

Mundo Deportivo claim Chelsea dropped Willian’s asking price to £44million when they heard of Barcelona’s interest in Malcom.

And the publication now say that Willian “will surely” be heading to Manchester United.

Rugani

Chelsea are interested in signing Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, the player’s agent has confirmed.

Rugani has been earmarked as a viable target for Chelsea, who are scouring Serie A for new recruits following Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as manager.

But Rugani’s agent has cast doubt over whether or not Chelsea will succeed in a deal, even if they come to a fee agreement with Juve.

“The interest from Chelsea is there for Rugani,” Davide Torchia told Radio Sportiva. “Beyond the figures though there’s a technical question, neither the player nor Juventus have ever said they want a sale.”

Yerry Mina

Everton are close to completing a deal for Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina, reports claim.

Wolves, Arsenal, Manchester United and Lyon have all been credited with interest in the towering Colombia international.

But it looks like Everton have won the battle.

Goal claim the Toffees are on the ‘verge’ of signing the 23-year-old having making a £27million offer, which Barcelona are expected to accept.

Matteo Damian

News of Manchester United’s willingness to sell Matteo Darmian has spread quickly with Inter Milan reportedly registering their interest.

Jose Mourinho admitted they would release their Italian defender if they receive a suitable bid in the transfer window, but added that they currently have no offers “close to being accepted.”

However, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Inter Milan have made a formal approach for the 28-year-old.

It’s claimed that the Serie A side want to sign Darmian on a season-long loan with the option for a permanent deal next year.

Domagoj Vida

Liverpool have apparently agreed terms with Croatia World Cup hero Domagoj Vida.

That’s according to Turkish outlet A Spor via SportsMole, who claim the Besiktas defender has “shaken hands” on a two-year deal with the Anfield club.

West Ham, Everton and Arsenal were also interested in the 29-year-old, but Jurgen Klopp appears to have got his man.

A Spor add that Liverpool will now approach Besiktas to agree a fee. £22million is the reported figure.
