Mario Balotelli is once again making headlines in France on Tuesday.
While Nice finished last season in eighth, Marseille finished in fourth. Sadly for OM they narrowly missed out on a place in the Champions League.
CanalPlus reporter Emmanuel Trumer has now confirmed that Balotelli should sign for OM in the next few days.
Marseille have attracted Balotelli by offering him a bigger salary than another unnamed Italian suitor.
Monday was the first day of pre-season training at Nice.
However it was a rude awakening for new manager Patrick Vieira as neither Balotelli nor Alassane Plea showed up.
To be clear, both players were expected to report back to work.
Balotelli was the French club’s top scorer with 18 goals last season. Plea was the second top scorer with 16.
Both players have been linked with summer moves. Plea is supposedly a target for West Ham and Tottenham, amongst others.
