WORLD CUP: Why We Love Danny Rose

A reliable presence on the left-side of defence and also capable of providing some bite in attack, Danny Rose has been a regular choice for Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.
After coming through the youth ranks with Leeds United in his native Yorkshire before moving to Spurs as a teenager, Rose was a regular for the Young Lions and collected caps right through the age groups from U16-U21 level.
A string of loan spells away from north London aided his development before he became a regular at White Hart Lane and a firm crowd favourite thanks to a stunning long-range debut goal against local rivals Arsenal.
He had to show patience before earning his first senior cap too, when he featured against Germany in March 2016 almost three years after his final U21s cap.
