Real Madrid will appoint their new coach this week, and Clarence Seedorf is the latest to have been offered as a replacement for Zinedine Zidane.
The French coach walked away from the club 11 days ago and the European Champions want his replacement installed before next weekend.
The former Dutch international and four-times Champions League winner, Seedorf, is being considered by the Bernabeu board who must decide between a safe option or a bold move for a younger manager this week.
Seedorf failed to keep Deportivo up last season but he took over at a point in the season when the club were already resigned to their fate.
