Real Madrid are hoping to have their new manager in place before the start of the World Cup. Not only will this help with their pre-season preparations, plus recruitment, the European champions do not want this summer’s tournament to take the shine off their unveiling of a new coach.
“Real Madrid aren’t going to pay the €400m needed for Neymar,” Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga explained. What’s more, he doesn’t think such a deal is close to being possible, adding: “However, the numbers that they generate can put them close to being able to undertake such a signing.”
