Pep Guardiola admits Manchester City cannot be called the Premier League’s best-ever side unless they win more titles.
City swept all before them to be crowned champions, setting records for the most points, wins and goals scored.
Yet Guardiola knows this is just one Premier League success and says they must win multiple titles like Liverpool did in the 1980s and Manchester United in the 1990s to be regarded as English football’s greatest team.
“We are the best?” said the City boss. “I’m not sure of that.
“I’m completely with the people who say that to be considered the best team in the history of English football you have to win more. We won one Premier League.”
