Manchester City’s pursuit of Brazilian midfielder Jorginho was rebuked by Napoli’s President Aurelio De Laurentiis. Speaking to Corriere Dello Sport the Napoli President confirmed that he rejected a €50 million bid from city for the 26 year old.
“I’ve refused €45million plus a €5million bonus from City for Jorginho,” he said.
Napoli finished second to Juventus in last season’s Scudetto race and have since appointed Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.
