Idrissa Gueye has vowed to help the Toffees “fight for Europe” during the 2018-19 season.
The club which is currently searching for a new manager following the departure of Sam Allardyce, ended last season in eighth position in the Premier League table.
Gueye, however, has insisted that his team are good enough to secure a European position next term.
In his statenment,”I want to help the club fight for Europe next season, This club has been great to me since I have arrived. We have so much quality in the team.
He further added,”Yes, last season was difficult, but we are very capable of again playing in Europe.”
Gueye, who scored three times in 38 appearances for Everton during the 2017-18 season, will represent Senegal at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
