Croatian defender Dejan Lovren has exuded confidence that he is well placed to ‘deal with’ Christiano Ronaldo when Liverpool takes on Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday.
“We play in the Premier League against some of the best strikers in the world and we know how to defend like a team,” he told SkySports.
“Of course some parts of the game it will be one-against-one. It will be tough but it’s a challenge that I’m ready for.” he added.
The Liverpool defender is largely expected to line up alongside Virgil van Dijk at centre-back for the Reds, targeting to reduce the damage that the Portuguese may cause.
