Origi omitted from Belgium’s World Cup final squad

Kenyan born striker Divock Origi has been left out of the Belgium squad that will take part in the 2018 World Cup in Russia come June.

Origi was among the youngsters who impressed during the 2014 showpiece in Brazil. He later joined Liverpool but failed to secure a first team place under Jürgen Norbert Klopp. He was later loaned out to Wolfsburg.

In his absence, the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Christian Benteke, Michy Batshuayi, Dries Mertens have been called up to lead the team’s attack.
