Kenyan stars David Owino, Jesse Were and Anthony Akumu were part of the Zesco United squad that suffered a 2-0 loss to Green Buffaloes in a Zambian Super League match played on Sunday 20 May.
Owino a defender, Jesse Were a striker and Akumu a central midfielder all started in the tie but the latter was subbed off in the final 10 minutes paving way for Mwape Mwelwa.
Bufalloes goals came from Youremember Banda and Diamond Chikwekwe as the side went on to win at Edwin Imboela Stadium. Bufalloes have 27 points while Zesco are second with 22 points.
Owino, Were and Akumu were snubbed by Harambee Stars who named his first national team squad on Saturday.
