#Match Report: Hazard goal hands Chelsea FA Cup triumph

Chelsea are the FA Cup winners following a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the final staged at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The sole goal was scored at the 22nd minute by Eden Hazard. The Belgian International stepped and scored from the penalty spot after he was hacked by Phil Jones.

It is Chelsea’s ninth FA Cup win. The Central Londoners were making their 14th FA Cup final appearance.

1’ Hazard dashes through the left from a Bakayoko through ball but shoots straight at De Gea who punches the ball awkwardly but is headed away by Jones.

20’ Penalty! Fabregas, deep in his own half, strokes a glorious ball down the inside-right wing. Hazard, cutting in, stuns it with one touch, tearing down the field. He enters the box, and is brought crashing down by Jones, who tries to toe-poke the ball away but falls over.

63′ Rashford is bowled over on the right. Free kick, which he takes himself. Jones, on the penalty spot, guides a header towards the bottom right. It’s heading in! But Courtois stretches to claw it out. However, Sanchez is lurking, and knees the rebound into the net. He wheels off to celebrate … but the flag goes up for offside.

89′ Rashford again bursts through the right wing and leaves defenders for the dead but Courtois leaves his position and punches the ball away for a corner as Rashford attempts to loop over the ball.
