Goalless draws dominate KPL matches as Vihiga, Ulinzi win

The Kenyan Premier League Saturday 19 May action saw four matches end in draws and only two teams managed to pick wins.

In Awendo, Vihiga United beat Sony Sugar 2-0. Sony Sugar conceded an own goal in the opening minute of the tie while John Wanda’s 39th-minute strike saw the Vihiga pick maximum points. The loss for Sony means they are winless in the last 12 matches.
Ulinzi Star also got a 2-0 win in their league match against Wazito FC. Elvis Nandwa and Masita Masuta scored Ulinzi Stars goal in the match which was at Ruaraka Grounds.
The win has sends Ulinzi Stars second on the log while Wazito lie 14th on the log,

Zoo-Sharks 
Nicholas Kipkirui scored for his side Zoo FC but Saphan Oyugi ensured a point for Kariobangi Sharks by scoring deep in the final half. With a point each from Kericho Stadium, Zoo FC has 16 points in as many matches while Sharks is eighth with 21 points.
Three matches failed to produce goals, Kakamega Homeboyz against Mathare played in Kakamega, Nzoia Sugar vs Chemelil and the tie pitting Bandari and Posta Rangers staged in Mombasa on Saturday.
