CAF CL: Gor Mahia held by Alger

Kenya’s representatives and hosts Gor Mahia lost another vital set of points in their quest for CAF Confederations Cup glory after being held to a barren draw by visiting USM Alger at the Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday 16th May.

Gor however finished as 10 men after defender Joash Onyango was sent off early in the second half after picking his second yellow card.

K’ogallo was however the better side and created the best of the second half chances despite lacking key striker in Meddie Kagere.

The result leaves Gor Mahia on two points and stay second in the group while USM Alger consolidate their lead with four points from the two matches.
