World Cup: Blackout for Joe Hart, Wilshere

West Ham keeper Joe Hart and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will miss out of the England squad after manager Gareth Southgate named his World Cup squad.

Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to make a dream debut in the Three Lions squad after he was named in the England’s World Cup-bound squad.

Alexander enjoyed a great season with the UEFA Champions League finalists in Kiev, Ukraine. with an an ankle injury to club team-mate Joe Gomez seemingly working in his favor as well.

Burnley’s Nick Pope joins Jordan Pickford of Everton and Stoke City’s Jack Butland among Southgate’s goalkeeping options.

England will play pre-tournament friendlies against Nigeria and Costa Rica before kicking off their Russia 2018 bid against Tunisia on June 18. Panama and Belgium join them in Group G.
