Beware! 32 cases of Ebola found in DRC, 18 people dead

The World Health Organization stated recently that they are preparing for “the worst case scenario” in a fresh outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

18 deaths have been reported so far between April 4 and May 9. 32 suspected or confirmed cases came to light in and around DRC in the fresh outbreak.  This is DRC’s ninth known outbreak of Ebola since 1976.

“We are very concerned, and we are planning for all scenarios, including the worst-case scenario,” WHO’s head of emergency response Peter Salama told reporters in Geneva
