The Rapper took to social media to give his stand in regard to this proposal saying that he is against it.

King Kaka also demanded that the government should be able to show what they have achieved in terms of delivering their promises before they impose the idea of building houses for people.

Show me Laptops. Show me New curriculum. Show me Free Sec Education. Show me Football Stadiums. Show me PAID Government Internships. Show me the 1 MILLION Jobs. Show me PESA ya Wazee. Show me U. Heath Care Then I’ll let you build me a house!” he said in a tweet

King Kaka joins the number of Kenyans who took part in an uproar urging the nation to unite against the house levy fund.

The Housing Fund Levy is designed to finance the Affordable Housing Scheme under the Big 4 Agenda with Employers are expected to submit the deductions to the National Housing Development Fund (NHDF) every month.

“Both the employer and the employee shall each contribute 1.5% of the employee’s month basic salary, provided that the sum of the total monthly contributions shall not exceed five thousand shillings,” states the directive that came into effect after it was added in the Finance Act 2019.

“The employers are required to deduct and remit the levy together with other statutory levies from both the employer and employee by the 9th of each succeeding month together with other payroll statutory deductions.”

However, on Wednesday the court issued fresh orders temporarily stopping the government from implementing the 1.5 per cent levy for the housing fund.
