Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu now claim that the MCAs are very corrupt and EACC should investigate some of them.
Speaking at event,Waititu said that the MCAs requested hefty bribe to pass the contentious budget that resulted into fist fight.
The MCAs were entangled in fistfights over Waititu’s budget that some wanted it approved without proper procedures. Gikuyu Bulletin has established that those opposed to it raised questions on some allocations and expenditures.
After the budget failed to sail through, the Governor is now telling the Kiambu people that the Finance and Budget Committee is powerful and its members sought hefty bribe from him.
“Those chaos you witnessed in the assembly was because of members of finance and budget committee that is very powerful. To approve my budget I was bribing them with a lot of money. They wanted I bribe them with lots of money”, Waititu alleges.
Waititu has been in the news for the last three months defending the tanga tanga movement.
Over the weekend the government withdrew his security details after he went against Uhuru’s order to stop early politics.
The governor,Susan Kihiki,Aisha Jumwa,Kimani Ichungwa among others were in Nakuru county.
Waititu accused the government of witch hunting due to his loyalty to deputy president.
“I know this is political and if supporting Ruto is what they think they will intimidate me,they will be shoked,”he said.
