Manchester United veterans De Gea and Young were unable to inspire the Red Devils to victory in the first leg of their Champions League clash with Barcelona.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side put up a valiant fight at Old Trafford but were ultimately undone by a cushioned Luis Suarez header.

For Manchester United, it was a difficult night and Solskjaer will need another famous comeback – mere weeks after the last one against PSG – to see his side through.

After the game, players were invited to talk to the media about the events of the evening.

And the majority of the United stars who walked past were more than happy to open up.

Romelu Lukaku spoke intelligently about the game to Sky Sports and various media outlets from around the world.

Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw were both interviewed by MUTV, the club’s in-house television channel.

A clearly dejected Victor Lindelof was also willing to talk, despite having his hood up and appearing low.

And Fred, who impressed alongside Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay in the middle of the park, opened up to media outlets as well.

However, two United players did not.

De Gea trudged straight off, snubbing the Spanish media as well amid claims that he is unhappy with the treatment he gets in his home country.

Young, who appeared to be limping slightly, wore his hat low as he walked away.

Meanwhile, United boss Solskjaer feels his side are capable of finding the net against Barcelona.

“We’re playing against a great team,” the 46-year-old said after the game.

“It’s a tough one – we’ll go there with the knowledge we can score over there.

“We go there with one thing in my mind: we have to score.”
